Tour Copenhagen by Kayak or Canal Boat

Copenhagen, Denmark–There are lots of ways to tour Copenhagen, but touring via the city canals lets you see it up close, without cars marring the view.
The city canalboat tours, leaving from colorful Nyhavn, load frequently throughout the day in the summer season. You’ll see the Opera House, Parliament, Black Diamond, and canals of Christianhavn in a one-hour tour. A Danish friend of ours always takes her mom on a canal boat tour when they visit. Bilingual guides point out major sites.
If you have a Copenhagen Card, one canalboat tour is free.
Another way to explore the canals is by kayak, heading out with KayakOle from Christianhavn and past all the same sites as the canalboat tour but the Parliament. It’s a much slower pace, takes twice as long, and a stop at a waterside cafe for a beer is included.
