Wrigley rink fun

Chicago, IL–Flakes fell, crowds gathered, Zambonis smoothed the ice at the hastily constructed Rink at Wrigley yesterday.  December snow in Chicago?  Now that’s what I’m talkin’ ’bout! Cubs pitcher Ryan Dempster–on hockey skates– threw out the first pitch to Blackhawks legend Stan Mikita and the games were on.   The rink will be open to the public ($10 for adults) through February.  Though it’s lit for night skating, try warming up at the local pubs after ice skating.  Check out skater Jason Brown’s performance at the opening.
